Class Features

 

  • Weapon and Armor Proficiency: All simple weapons, light armor, and light shields. A warmage gains proficiency with medium armor at 8th level.

 

  • Spells: A warmage knows all spells on the warmage spell list that he can cast. He need not prepare his spells ahead of time. To cast a spell, a warmage must have a Charisma score of at least 10+the spell's level. The DC of a warmage's spell is 10+the spell's level+the warmage's Cha modifier. The warmage spell list is mostly offensive spells (conjuration and evocation).

 

  • Armored Mage (Ex): A warmage may use light armor and a light shield without chance of arcane spell failure. At 8th level and above, a warmage may use medium armor without chance of arcane spell failure.

 

  • Warmage Edge (Ex): Whenever a warmage casts a spell that deals damage, he adds his Intelligence bonus to the damage dealt. A single spell can never gain this extra damage more than once per casting. (Example: Fireball deals the extra damage to each creature in its area, but only one missile from Magic Missile gets the extra damage) If a spell deals damage for more than one round, it deals this extra damage in each round. Scrolls scribed by or activated by a warmage gain no advantage. This is true for all other magic devices as well, except for staffs.

 

  • Advanced Learning (Ex): At 3rd, 6th, 11th, and 16th level, a warmage can add a new spell to his list, representing the result of personal study and experimentation. The spell must be a wizard spell of the evocation school, and of a level no higher than that of the highest-level spell the warmage already knows. Once a new spell is selected, it is forever added to that warmage's spell list and can be cast just like any other spell on the warmage's list.

 

  • Sudden Empower: At 7th level, a warmage gains Sudden Empower as a bonus feat. If he already has the feat, he can choose a different metamagic feat. [This feat allows the warmage to apply Empower Spell to a spell once per day without increasing casting time.]

 

  • Sudden Enlarge: At 10th level, a warmage gains Sudden Enlarge as a bonus fear. If he already has the feat, he can choose a different metamagic feat. [This feat allows the warmage to apply Enlarge Spell to a spell once per day without increasing casting time.]

 

  • Sudden Widen: At 15th level, a warmage gains Sudden Widen as a bonus fear. If he already has the feat, he can choose a different metamagic feat. [This feat allows the warmage to apply Widen Spell to a spell once per day without increasing casting time.]

 

  • Sudden Maximize: At 20th level, a warmage gains Sudden Maximize as a bonus fear. If he already has the feat, he can choose a different metamagic feat. [This feat allows the warmage to apply Maximize Spell to a spell once per day without increasing casting time.]
